QNX is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to join their QNX OS and Virtualization product management team. This role involves shaping the product portfolio, defining roadmap and strategy for QNX Virtualization products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and recent experience in automotive, embedded systems, or technical product management. Responsibilities include leading products throughout their lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing requirements, defining product vision, and working with engineering and customers. Must have:
  • Bachelors or master’s in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Significant product management experience in Automotive, Industrial or Robotic systems
  • Proven expertise in virtualization technologies for edge and embedded platforms
  • Ability to define and prioritize product requirements
  • Strong cross-functional knowledge (engineering, finance, marketing)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong technical background and customer service orientation
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of embedded operating systems, hypervisor, and development tools
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, DO-178C)

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to work with the QNX OS and Virtualization product management team on roadmap and strategy across various QNX Virtualization products and services.

You must possess a strong technical background and have recent experience in an automotive or embedded systems or technical product management.

This role includes both technical product management and product marketing responsibilities. This includes leading QNX virtualization products throughout the entire product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing customer and market requirements, defining and evangelizing the product roadmap and vision, and working closely with engineering and customers on an ongoing basis to deliver winning products.

You will:

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware support for all QNX products and services, from strategic planning through to successful delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy for new product launches, aligning with the company’s multi-year roadmap and broader business objectives.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Legal, Finance, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless execution from product concept to general availability.
  • Shape product positioning and messaging in partnership with Marketing, ensuring clear articulation of value propositions and differentiation in the market.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, synthesizing feedback from strategic accounts, field teams, and market signals to inform product direction and maximize customer success.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive intelligence and market analysis, identifying emerging trends, threats, and opportunities to maintain a leadership position in the virtualization space.
  • Serve as a thought leader and brand ambassador, representing QNX at industry events, webinars, customer briefings, and executive-level engagements.

You will have:

  • Bachelors or master’s in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical degree or diploma.
  • Significant product management experience related to Automotive, Industrial or Robotic systems and/or other mission critical embedded devices.
  • Proven expertise in virtualization technologies for edge and embedded platforms, with additional exposure to IoT and desktop environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and prioritize product requirements, balancing technical feasibility, customer impact, and business value.
  • Strong cross-functional knowledge spanning engineering, product strategy, finance, and marketing, enabling effective collaboration and decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
  • Strong technical background and customer service oriented, to be able to successfully engage with automotive and general embedded customers.

It would be great if you have:

  • Knowledge of embedded operating systems, hypervisor, and development tool software
  • Knowledge and interest in functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508, DO-178C) and/or security standards (e.g., ISO 21434)
