WHAT IS THE JOB ABOUT:  The Senior Technologist, Advanced Simulations & Spatial Computing will help innovate Brightline’s new and growing product ecosystem that leverages groundbreaking spatial computing and AI capabilities. This person will help execute critical development tasks on major contracts and internal efforts to help provide innovative solutions to agencies and companies in both private and public sectors. This person should have 8+ years experience in simulation technologies and should have a passion for product development. This role will communicate daily with the Director of Development, EVP of Product, and CTO and will work directly with a larger team of developers, designers and program managers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Local to our Ashburn, VA Headquarters a plus
  • Multidisciplinary team player
  • Ability to communicate clearly across teams
  • Experience working with public sector customers
  • Product development experience
  • Experience developing for UX workflows
  • Experience working in and developing Spatial Computing technologies such as VR/AR/XR 
  • Excitement about working with and advancing new technologies


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  This person will have experience developing within the following simulation frameworks:

  • NVIDIA Omniverse (Kit Extensions, RTX, Microservices, Python, C++)
  • Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) (developing with layers, scene composition, variants, etc.)
  • Unity (C#)
  • Unreal Engine (C++, Blueprints)
  • Foundational/general knowledge of 3D modeling workflows (Maya, 3DS Max, Blender)
  • Person must be a US Citizen and willing and able to acquire government security clearance/suitability


NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Houdini (Digital Assets, Vex, Python)
  • Cesium/Cesium Ion (gLTF, 3D Tiles, CesiumJS)
  • Working knowledge of AWS solutions (e.g. EC2, S3, Lambda and VAMS)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform
  • Backend / Full Stack Capabilities (Node.JS, Next.JS, CMS systems)
  • Local to Ashburn, VA headquarters a plus
