Senior Test Analyst (CMS and FAS Modules)

Job Summary

As a Senior Test Analyst at Synechron, you will be a key contributor to ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products, particularly in the CMS and FAS modules. Your role is vital in formulating detailed test plans, executing test cases, and mentoring junior team members. You will also play a crucial part in client interactions, conducting walk-through sessions, and stepping in as a lead backup when necessary, thereby supporting strategic business objectives through rigorous quality assurance practices.

Software Requirements

• Required:

  • Proficiency with CMS (Content Management Systems) and FAS (Financial Accounting Systems) modules
  • Experience with test planning and execution tools

• Preferred:

  • Familiarity with automated testing tools
  • Knowledge of version control systems

Overall Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute detailed test plans (DTP) and test cases independently.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their testing skills and knowledge.
• Conduct walk-through sessions with customers and internal teams to ensure clarity and alignment on testing objectives.
• Act as a backup lead during the lead's absence, ensuring continuity in project management and team leadership.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to report on testing progress and outcomes.

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on CMS and FAS modules.
• Experience in mentoring junior team members and participating in client-facing activities.
• Alternative experience pathways: Demonstrated success in related quality assurance roles within software development.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for CMS and FAS modules.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment on testing objectives and outcomes.
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Act as a lead backup, managing team activities and project deliverables in the lead's absence.
• Report testing progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance are advantageous.
