Job Description

As a Senior Tools Engineer on the Content System and Core Engineering team at Bungie, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality, production-ready code in C# and C++. You will collaborate with engineers to improve build systems, frameworks, and shared technology, ensuring seamless operation and scalability across multiple projects. Your work will directly impact developer efficiency by building systems, updating frameworks, and implementing shared technology. You will translate team goals into actionable plans, investigate ambiguous problems, provide direction, and mitigate risks. This role requires proficiency in modern MSBuild and .NET, and experience collaborating with stakeholders and providing technical guidance. The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both remote and on-site options.

As a Senior Tools Engineer on the Content System and Core Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and evolving the systems that underpin the work of our development teams, ensuring the seamless operation and scalability of our games and development tools across multiple projects. Your contributions to build systems, framework updates, and shared technology implementation will multiply developer efficiency across our engine and tools technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain high-quality, production-ready code in C# and C++
  • Ensure the reliability and scalability of tools frameworks and build systems
  • Collaborate daily with an engineering team focused on improving build systems, frameworks, and shared technology
  • Translate team goals into actionable plans

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to build and maintain robust C# code
  • Proficiency in modern MSBuild and .NET
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders
  • Experience in providing technical guidance to other engineers
  • Ability to drive investigations into ambiguous problem spaces, provide direction, and mitigate risks
  • Familiarity with large-scale software development processes

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Experience programming in C++
  • Experience with WPF or a similar UI framework
Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly). 

This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Bellevue Pay Range

$156,000 - $183,000 USD
