Job Description

Tide is seeking an experienced Senior Treasury Analyst to join their Operations team. This role is crucial for maintaining financial health, ensuring efficient treasury operations, and driving growth. Responsibilities include managing cash and liquidity, handling short-term cash flow forecasting and variance analysis, collaborating on Treasury Management System implementation, and optimizing capital requirements, foreign exchange, and short-term investments. The role also involves managing relationships with partner banks, ensuring compliance with KYC and regulatory requirements, executing payments and transfers accurately and compliantly, and managing collateral requirements. Additionally, the Senior Treasury Analyst will be responsible for setting up and maintaining policies, processes, and procedures, identifying and implementing process improvements, and updating documentation.
Must have:
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in Treasury Operations and Cash Management
  • Prior experience in financial services, preferably in tech-driven & scale-up environments
  • Knowledge of cash-flow forecasting, flow of funds, and payment systems
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and ownership mentality
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Experience mitigating operational risk
  • Experience with Cash Management systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Good to have:
  • Experience utilizing BI reporting tools (Looker/Power BI/Tableau etc)

ABOUT THE TEAM 

The Treasury team acts as 1st LoD and is at the forefront of driving financial excellence and supporting strategic growth. The Treasury team mission is to optimise the company's financial resources and investment, manage financial risks, ensure robust liquidity and effective cash management and comprehensive treasury operations.

Moreover the team collaborates closely with the product and business team to align financial strategies with business objectives. By contributing to impactful financial decisions, the Treasury team aims to enable sustainable success and growth.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

As a Senior Treasury Analyst - Operations, you will play a crucial role in the team to maintain our financial health, ensure efficient treasury operations, and drive our growth. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cash & Liquidity  management:
    • Manage and monitor wholesale credit limits to ensure adequate liquidity for operations minimising counterparty risk.
    • Carry out short term cash flow forecasting and actuals variance analysis across Group accounts 
    • Collaborate with counterparts on implementation of a Treasury Management System including documenting requirements, design and testing
    • Evaluate capital requirements, manage FX and optimize returns for short term investments.

  • Managing relationships with partner banks:
    • Partner with internal and external stakeholders on the Know Your Customer (KYC) and account management processes.
    • Ensure all banking relationships comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Payments/transfers execution and collateral management:
    • Execute payment and transfer activities.
    • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant policies.
    • Manage collateral requirements, including monitoring collateral positions.

  • Setup and maintain policies, processes, and procedures:
    • Identify and implement improvements to ensure efficient processes for Treasury Operations.
    • Update procedural documentation where required in line with changing regulations and business needs 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Tide is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Analyst. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience with Treasury Operations and Cash Management
  • Prior experience in financial services – preferably in technology-driven & scale-up environments 
  • Knowledge of cash-flow forecasting, flow of funds and payment systems
  • Self-starter, strong attention to detail and extreme ownership mentality
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Experience mitigating operational risk
  • Experience with Cash Management systems
  • Experience utilising BI reporting tools (Looker/Power BI/Tableau etc) is desirable
  • Experience working within a dynamic and strong paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
