Archetype Entertainment is a new game studio in Austin, Texas led by industry veterans from BioWare and other AAA studios. Archetype is a division of Wizards of the Coast (Hasbro). We are building a development team with world-class talent to create a new science fiction universe for our first multiplatform roleplaying video game.


Our goal is to create the greatest story-driven roleplaying games in the world.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior UI Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with the engineering and UX teams on the development of the UI framework for our upcoming science fiction roleplaying game, Exodus. The ideal candidate is a flexible technical contributor with deep knowledge of building UI in Unreal Engine.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop core UI systems, frameworks, and patterns
  • Define "what good looks like" for UI development on our team
  • Improve the quality and performance of our UI technology stack
  • Consistently hit your committed goals in a timely and predictable manner
  • Mentor and support other specialists on how to use and extend our technology


What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated ability developing UI for AAA games
  • The ability to develop creative solutions to large and sophisticated problems
  • Unreal Engine Experience
  • A strong focus on quality and building scalable solutions to serve our UX team
  • Initiative to push boundaries to build something outstanding
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience


Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $128,669
  • Pay Range End: $215,571
