What You'll Do Avalara helps businesses of all sizes get tax compliance right. In partnership with leading ERP, accounting, e-commerce, and other financial management system providers, Avalara delivers cloud-based compliance solutions for multiple transactional taxes, including sales and use, VAT, GST, excise, communications, and other tax types. Avalara's comprehensive, automated, cloud-based solutions are fast, accurate, and easy to use. As a Senior UX Designer at Avalara, you will help shape the user experience across our product suite. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create intuitive, user-friendly designs that for our users. You should understand user-centered design principles, experience solving user challenges, high-quality designs. Responsibilities
Lead the design process from concept to delivery, including research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
Collaborate with teams to define solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
Conduct user research and usability testing to iterate and refine designs based on user feedback and our requirements.
Create design documentation, including user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
Mentor junior designers, sharing best practices and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and tools into the design process.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in UX design, with a portfolio showcasing your design process and final deliverables.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
Experience with user-centered design principles and best practices.
A Bachelor's or Masters degree in Design (perferably from IDC, NID) Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
