What You'll Do
Avalara helps businesses of all sizes get tax compliance right. In partnership with leading ERP, accounting, e-commerce, and other financial management system providers, Avalara delivers cloud-based compliance solutions for multiple transactional taxes, including sales and use, VAT, GST, excise, communications, and other tax types. Avalara's comprehensive, automated, cloud-based solutions are fast, accurate, and easy to use.
As a Senior UX Designer at Avalara, you will help shape the user experience across our product suite. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create intuitive, user-friendly designs that for our users. You should understand user-centered design principles, experience solving user challenges, high-quality designs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design process from concept to delivery, including research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
- Collaborate with teams to define solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to iterate and refine designs based on user feedback and our requirements.
- Create design documentation, including user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Mentor junior designers, sharing best practices and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and tools into the design process.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in UX design, with a portfolio showcasing your design process and final deliverables.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Experience with user-centered design principles and best practices.
- A Bachelor's or Masters degree in Design (perferably from IDC, NID) Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
