About The Role
As a senior product designer you will be responsible for the UX deliverables for entire feature groups for a world-class ‘AAA’ game at Mayhem. You would be required to work with the other team members from Product, Engineering, Art and Program teams to execute the roadmap and drive quarterly goals for the said business line. You will work closely with your UI design, product and art counterparts on the business so that Mayhem’s Product Design Principles are upheld and delivered with everything you and your team do, with consistency and reliability.
What Will You Do
- Staying informed and understanding the business and user needs for your products by means of data analysis and agile user research methods
- Close coordination with peers within the business line across Product, Engineering and Art functions to meet end user experience goals
- Executing tasks and features for your UX team such that deliverables are met as per the decided timelines.
- Creating UX deliverables like flow diagrams, IA, wireframes with variants of approaches as well as copy that is used to convey the idea
- Prioritise and incorporate feedback from users and live data to improve product’s usability and experience
- Briefing the UI and Art teams on the business line about the features being built such that their deliverables are as per expectations
- Mentor and guide junior designers on their approach and problem solving skills
What Are We Looking
- Worked on Games, preferably mid/high-core titles for mobile
- Thorough in your Design Process - Framing a problem statement, iterating & validating diverse approaches to a solution, executing the same and finally monitoring the execution to evolve the solution
- 3+ years of experience working on B2C mobile app/ game offerings for Consumer Product focussed organizations
- Mastery of UX techniques and tools like brainstorming, interviews, wireframing, task flows, journey maps etc.
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Hands-On Flow Chart experience
- Hands-On UI Design experience (Figma is preferred over Adobe XD, Sketch)
- Hands-On Prototyping experience (Any of Figma, Principle, Marvel, Invision, Framer etc.)
- Basic Excel/Google Sheets experience for working with data/numbers
- Thorough understanding of Product metrics like DAU, Engagement, Retention, GMV etc.
- Understanding of Engineering terms like Client - Server interactions, APIs, Response times etc
- Open to learning new tools/techniques towards improving workflow and understanding users
Good to Haves
- Basic understanding of Unreal Engine
- Motion visualisation skills
