SEO Director

As an SEO Director within Earned Media, you will lead the SEO strategy across enterprise-level clients, ensuring alignment with broader organic search, content marketing, and digital PR initiatives. You will own SEO roadmaps, mentor teams, and drive strategic innovation, ensuring our Earned Media capability continues to deliver industry-leading results.

This role demands deep technical expertise, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to engage at a senior level, ensuring clients receive cutting-edge SEO solutions that drive measurable business impact. You will also help shape internal processes, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and cross-channel collaboration.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & SEO Excellence

• Define and own SEO strategies across client accounts, ensuring best-in-class technical, content, and authority-building approaches.
• Be the primary strategic consultant for clients, providing high-level SEO insights and driving measurable growth.
• Collaborate with Content, Digital PR, and Paid Media teams to provide a fully integrated Earned Media strategy.
• Oversee and evolve SEO measurement frameworks, applying tools such as GA4, Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and enterprise SEO platforms.
• Implement the latest SEO innovations, such as AI-driven content optimization, automation, and data science applications.

Operational Excellence & Performance Management

• Oversee the operational delivery of SEO programs, ensuring seamless execution across technical SEO, content marketing, and link-building initiatives.
• Take ownership of client performance goals, ensuring that teams achieve agreed goals while maintaining profitability.
• Set the standard for internal communication and process optimization, ensuring structured documentation, efficient workflows, and relevant insights.
• Drive continuous improvement by assessing internal SEO methodologies and ways of working to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Team Leadership & Development

• Identify and address knowledge gaps within the team by implementing structured training programs, workshops, and peer-to-peer learning initiatives.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and new ideas, ensuring that SEO remains at the cutting edge of digital marketing.
• Actively contribute to the global SEO community within Jellyfish, leading internal knowledge-sharing and thought leadership initiatives.

Innovation & Industry Thought Leadership

• Stay ahead of SEO industry trends, algorithm updates, and the latest technologies, integrating them into our strategic approach.
• Champion AI-driven automation, data-driven insights, and cutting-edge SEO methodologies to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Represent Jellyfish at industry conferences, events, and speaking engagements, furthering our position as a leader in Earned Media.

Technical & Strategic Expertise

• Experience in enterprise-level SEO strategy and execution, delivering organic growth.
• Knowledge of technical SEO, structured data, JavaScript frameworks, and web performance optimization.
• Advanced expertise in SEO analytics, automation, and reporting, with proficiency in GA4, Adobe Analytics, Looker Studio, and enterprise SEO platforms.
• Experience with digital PR, content marketing, and authority-building strategies, ensuring a holistic Earned Media approach.
• Translate complex SEO insights into executive-level recommendations and strategic roadmaps.

Leadership & Communication

• Demonstrated experience in leading high performing teams and mentoring talent
• Influence and engage senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Ability to present complex ideas persuasively, whether in client meetings, internal strategy sessions, or industry events.
