Job Description

This role involves performing platform-to-application mapping activities within ServiceNow for a major financial institution. Responsibilities include mapping at least 25 platforms (on-premise and cloud), gathering and analyzing platform/application details, developing scalable technical approaches, creating custom solutions using ServiceNow ITOM capabilities (patterns, scripting, business rules), troubleshooting issues, performing UAT testing, and obtaining sign-offs. The position requires extensive experience in ServiceNow Service Mapping, including creating custom solutions, debugging patterns, and troubleshooting logs, and a solid understanding of various protocols and technologies.

Must have:

Expert level ServiceNow Service Mapping
8+ years experience developing custom solutions in ServiceNow
Successfully completed 100+ complex Service Maps
Experience with scripting, patterns, and business rules
Knowledge of HTTP, SSH, JDBC, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, REST, API, ESB
Understanding of Web & Application Servers, Load Balancers, Databases, Virtualization

Project description

As part of our strategic partnership with one of the biggest financial institutions in the World, we are hiring various IT specialists, who will become part of their IT Service Center. The bank is an international organization dedicated to providing financing, advice, and research to developing nations to aid their economic advancement. The bank predominantly acts as an organization that attempts to fight poverty by offering developmental assistance to middle- and low-income countries. Our client is a provider of financial and technical assistance to individual countries around the globe. Responsibilities

1. Perform Platform-to-Application mapping activities. This includes:

Complete the mapping of at least 25 assigned platforms (On premise and Cloud),

Gather and analyze platform/application details required to develop end-to-end solution,

Develop and document a scalable technical approach regardless of underlying technologies (e.g. Java processes, JVM, etc.), that can be leveraged to all platforms that shares similar communication protocol,

Develop custom solutions using ServiceNow ITOM capabilities such as patterns, server and client-side scripting, business rules, etc.,

Troubleshoot and resolve issues or errors, including issues related to Discovery, MID Server, integrations, and other ITOM areas specific to Platform-to-Application mapping,

Perform thorough UAT testing,

Obtain signoffs for completed platform mappings.

Must have

The desired resource should possess expert level competency in ServiceNow Service Mapping. In addition to this, following should also be considered as part of the profile:

Minimum 8 years of extensive experience in developing custom solution using patterns and scripts in ServiceNow for Platform-to-Application dependencies.

Experience in ServiceNow Service Mapping should encompass a track record of successfully completing a minimum of 100 complex pattern-based Service Maps. This includes tasks such as debugging patterns and probes, troubleshooting logs for error resolution, creating new custom patterns for mapping essential services, and adapting existing patterns to align with organizational configurations.

Extensive experience building custom solution with scripting and coding in ServiceNow, building custom extension patterns, developing client and server scripts, and creating new business rules.

Understanding protocols and technologies such as HTTP, SSH, JDBC, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, REST, API, ESB, etc.

Knowledge of Web and Application Servers, Load Balancers, Databases, and Virtualization (WebSphere, MQ, IIS, Apache, VMware).

Ability to think out-of-the-box and bring creative approaches to tackle complex use cases.

High level of initiative with a proven ability to work independently.

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
