Reality Labs (RL) at Meta seeks a Silicon Architect to collaborate on developing low-power, highly customized SoCs for AR/MR devices. Responsibilities include architecture definition and specification for SoC and subsystem improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams (SoC/IP architects, modeling/validation teams, firmware developers, program managers), and specifying feature improvements to chassis generators. The ideal candidate possesses strong SoC architecture understanding, experience with heterogeneous subsystems (NoCs, shared memory, clock generators, power controllers), and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. The role involves evaluating trade-offs between speed, performance, power, and area, and utilizing scientific methods for debugging cross-disciplinary issues.
Good To Have:- Experience with AMBA AXI or OCP
- Cache deployment and DRAM optimization
- Hardware controller deployment for clock/power domains
- Python scripting
- SystemC/TLM2 performance modeling
- Quality of Service implementation for heterogeneous systems
- Performance/power modeling of chip subsystems
Must Have:- 10+ years SoC integration experience
- Expertise in heterogeneous subsystems
- Proficient in performance/power trade-offs
- Cross-functional collaboration skills
- Hands-on problem-solving approach
- Experience with NoCs, shared memory, clock generators, power controllers
