Job Duties
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assume responsibility for teaching subject matter in addition to good citizenship, respect for the rights of others, respect for College property, and proper attitude.
2. Meet classes according to class schedule for the designated time periods.
3. Attend faculty or departmental meetings as requested.
4. Adhere to the examination schedule unless prior permission is obtained.
5. Provide reasonable accessibility to students for conferences, advisement, or tutorial assistance.
6. Provide advising for students as necessary.
7. Maintain adequate records for all students and make timely reports as requested by
School Chairperson or College Administration.
8. Utilize available instructional support services, such as Learning Resources Centers, offered to students and faculty.
9. Evaluate classes according to College procedures using the standardized
evaluation instrument.
10. Ensure instructional methodology and requirements are consistent with the College and respective departments.
11. Follow established policies and procedures to enhance instruction and contribute to successfully accomplishing College goals, course objectives, student achievement, and professional development. Faculty members are responsible for the content, quality, and effectiveness of the curriculum at the state, institutional program, and course levels.
12. Serve as a public relations representative for the Community College system.
13. Supervise and participate in extracurricular activities as assigned by administrative staff.
14. Ensure adequate evaluation of students’ progress.
15. As assigned, provide faculty representation on college governance councils as described in the college Planning Manual.
16. Participate in college or state-level academic/instructional committees as assigned.
17. Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by respective departments or college administration.
18. Oversee operations within the Interactive Digital Center.
19. Partner with instructors, industries, and high schools to determine the need for virtual training and/or activities.
20. Serve as project manager for developing and disseminating AR/VR/XR projects.

Job Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTION: Responsible for the teaching of assigned courses at assigned times as well as the other duties and responsibilities inherent in the position. Reports to the program-specific School Chair at the Harrison County Campus.

Mandatory Qualifications
MANDATORY: (1) Associate degree in Simulation and Game Design Technology or related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning. (2) Two years of current work experience in applicable area to teaching field or two years of continued education beyond the associate degree level in a related field of study. (3) Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, C++, and/or Python. (4) Experience with Unity, Unreal, EON Reality, 3D modeling software, and/or other AR/VR/XR platforms (5) Familiarity with basic Internet, e-mail, and word processing functions. (6) Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications
DESIRABLE: (1) Unity Certified Associate or higher. (2) Bachelor’s degree in program area or related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning. (3) Community college and/or other college-level teaching experience. (4) Multi-media instructional delivery experience. (5) Experience with Canvas or other online learning environment. (6) Experience with Banner 8 or 9 platform. (7) Experience in project management. (8) Experience in providing customer service.
