The Site Quality Manager will develop and implement quality management systems, lead the quality team, and ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements. They will drive continuous improvement, resolve quality issues, conduct audits, manage customer complaints, and monitor key performance indicators. The company manufactures air conditioning units for rail vehicles, serving clients worldwide. Must have:

At our Wabtec plant in Nýřany (Plzeň - north), we manufacture air conditioning units for rail vehicles. We are leaders in our field. We do not engage in mass production. We fulfill the specific wishes of our customers. Every year, we manufacture more than 4,500 air conditioning units, which are shipped all over the world. Our customers include companies such as Siemens, Hyundai Rotem, Alstom, Škoda, Stadler, and many others. For 20 years, we have been a stable employer with secure orders for several years in advance. 

How will you make a difference?

  • Develop and implement quality management systems across the site
  • Lead and manage the site quality team to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive actions
  • Conduct internal audits and prepare for external certification audits
  • Manage customer complaints and coordinate appropriate corrective actions
  • Develop and monitor key quality metrics and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (ISO 9001, etc.)
  • Provide regular reporting to senior management on quality performance
  • Lead quality training programs for site personnel

What do we need to know about you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (ISO 9001, etc.)
  • Experience with quality tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, FMEA, 8D, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements
  • Experience managing and developing a team of quality professionals
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
  • Professional level of English and Czech language, German very welcomed
