Job Description

The Site Reliability Engineer II role involves supporting web-based applications on Public Cloud, Private Cloud, and hosted environments. Responsibilities include customer-centric support, managing environment stability, contributing to process improvements, driving incident resolution, and implementing disaster recovery tasks. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, communication skills in English and Portuguese, experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and knowledge of various web technologies, cloud platforms (AWS), containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability tools. Additionally, knowledge of database systems, LDAP, storage management solutions, networking systems, and ITIL standards is required. The role also requires scripting/programming experience and is based on a work schedule from Thursday to Monday, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.

The Opportunity

“The Site Reliability Engineering group is a global team responsible for providing 24x7 operational support of the company's Cloud, SaaS, ASP and hosted solutions. What You’ll Contribute

  • Support the full stack of Public Cloud, Private Cloud and hosted web-based applications.
  • Customer centric focused driving a commitment towards preventing recurring problems and enhance support processes.
  • Manage the operations and stability of the environments in accordance with established procedures and best practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within those processes and procedures. 
  • Drive incidents to resolution. 
  • Implement, monitor, refresh, and perform disaster recovery tasks on all supported applications.

What We’re Seeking

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • English and Portuguese communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability for building rapport and handling customers over high-pressure situations and escalations.
  • Proven experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Knowledge of web technologies (JBoss, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, Open AM). Outsystems a plus.
  • Support Knowledge of cloud platform Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3.
  • Support knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Kibana, Splunk, Prometheus.
  • Working knowledge of relational database systems – MySQL, SQL Server 2005/2008/2012, Oracle 11 and Oracle RAC.
  • Experienced with LDAP design, implementation and networking.
  • Knowledge of Storage Management Solutions (SAN, NAS, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of networking systems and protocols, firewalls and TCP/IP networks, standards, and architectures. Hands-on knowledge of load balancers and firewalls desired.
  • Familiarity with ITIL standards and technologies (ServiceNow)
  • Scripting/programming experience in Puppet, PowerShell, PERL, .NET, Python , bash or UNIX Shell a plus.
  • Experience in full-stack software development with Java, debugging, log analysis, is also a plus.
  • Work schedule Thursday to Monday, 11:00am to 8:00pm
