As the SMB Sales Special Projects Manager, you will play a key role in driving strategic projects and shaping the strategy of the SMB sales team at GoTo Group. You will collaborate with SMB sales, business, product, and marketing teams to devise winning strategies that maximize company value. Your efforts will directly contribute to scaling the business and driving it to new heights. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive sales strategies, overseeing the end-to-end planning process, defining targets and territory design for the SMB sales team, leading go-to-market sales strategy & special projects in SMB, utilizing data-driven analysis to derive actionable insights, collaborating cross-functionally, and providing regular and ad-hoc impact reports to leadership.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in strategy, business development, project management, management consulting, or related fields
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and business acumen
  • Structured and analytical thinking process for developing frameworks, project charters, and prioritization
  • Strong business sense and ability to articulate complex analysis results
  • Proficiency in basic modeling (market sizing, business projection, scenario analysis)
  • Good presentation skills, especially the ability to present during problem-solving sessions
  • Solid track record of stakeholder management

About The Role

Collaborating closely with SMB sales, business, product, and marketing teams, you'll devise winning strategies that drive maximum value for the company. Your efforts will directly contribute to scaling up our business and propelling it to new heights. From structuring a high-performing SMB sales team to crafting sharp, effective strategies, you'll have the opportunity to lead transformative initiatives and drive tangible results.

What You Will Do

    • Develop comprehensive sales strategies and oversee the end-to-end planning process to ensure optimal results while maintaining efficiency levels
    • Define targets and territory design for the SMB sales team to drive performance and success
    • Lead the go-to-market sales strategy & special projects in SMB, aligning with partner needs and market demands
    • Utilize data-driven analysis to derive actionable insights, fostering accelerated growth and increased operational efficiency
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, sales, and other stakeholders to align strategies derived from data-driven analysis and execute plans effectively
    • Provide regular and ad-hoc impact reports and analyses to leadership team, offering insights into performance and growth opportunities for the business

What This Role Needs

    • At least 5 years relevant working experience in strategy,  business development, project management, management consulting or other related roles that require strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and business acumen
    • A structured and analytical thinking process to develop frameworks, project charters and prioritization
    • Strong business sense and ability to articulate complex analysis results to a wide range of audiences and translate the results to actionable business insights
    • Proficiency in basic modeling - market sizing, business projection, scenario analysis
    • Have good presentation skills - esp. the ability to present during problem solving sessions with other stakeholders (working-level or leadership) 
    • Solid track record of stakeholder management
    • Proficiency in SQL/query is preferred, but not mandatory (still essential in executing the role, and will need to learn basic SQL on-the-job)

As Gado-Gado is to the people of Indonesia, the Sales Strategy team is to Gojek: providing the nourishment to sustain our business from the inside out. The gist of our role is to be the main liaison between our merchant-partners and our product business teams, and work to create the overall go-to market plan and strategy for all merchant segments within Gojek. It’s our job to ensure that our solutions effectively meet the needs of our merchant-partners, reducing their daily frictions and ensuring they have a seamless, enjoyable experience using our services.

One of our recent proud moments is our success in growing merchant-partners’ business and ultimately GoFood business as well. It took a village to achieve this by closely coordinating with other relevant teams (i.e., demand generation, marketing, ads/ promotech etc) on designing & executing the best construct for each merchant segment. It was an exciting journey with clear impact for our merchant-partners.

We are a highly flexible team that holds each individual accountable for their own delivery of KRs and initiatives. As a team, we’re concerned not only with the growth of the company, but each other’s personal growth and well-being, too; we enjoy bonding over our shared love of good food and hilarious memes (a peek at our WhatsApp group would probably just show a whole collection of memes we've sent each other😜).
