The role involves owning the organic social media presence, creating engaging content, and appearing on camera for short-form videos. The ideal candidate has a passion for social media, 1-3 years of experience, strong design and on-camera skills, and a growth mindset. Familiarity with platform-native formats and an interest in sports are a plus.

We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist based in Ontario who truly lives and breathes content, understands what it takes to build a community, and knows how to spark meaningful conversations. You’re not just “on social”—you’re in it. You spot trends before they go viral, you know what gets people talking, and you’re eager to build something big.

We need someone who blends creativity, design skills, and engagement instinct with a growth mindset and a hunger to prove themselves in one of the most competitive markets in the world.

You should also be comfortable in front of the camera—whether you're hosting stories, shooting TikToks, or representing Betano on live or recorded video content. You’ll be one of the public faces of the brand in Ontario, so confidence, charisma, and authenticity are essential.

As a Social Media Specialist you will:

  • Own Betano’s organic social media presence in Ontario—from daily content creation to working with our Content Manager on long-term strategy.
  • Design, write, and post content that genuinely engages our audience.
  • Regularly appear on camera for short-form content, stories, explainers, and branded video posts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and CRM teams to align campaigns and messaging.
  • Spot trends early, create reactive content, and ride the cultural wave.
  • Engage directly with our community, acting as Betano’s online voice in Ontario.
  • Coordinate with external creative and media agencies when needed—while staying hands-on yourself.
  • Report on what’s working, and adapt fast when it’s not.
  • Safeguard  our tone, voice, and vibe—making sure Betano stays bold and relevant.

What you’ll bring

  • A deep passion for social media, digital culture, and storytelling.
  • 1–3 years of experience in content creation, social media management, or community-building.
  • A portfolio or examples of social campaigns or content you’ve created (even if freelance or personal projects).
  • Design skills – you can create compelling static or short-form visual content.
  • On-camera confidence – you’re comfortable being the face and voice of Betano content, with a presence that feels both professional and relatable.
  • A good grasp of platform-native formats (Reels, TikToks, Threads, Twitter/X, Stories, etc.).
  • A track record of organically growing or engaging communities.
  • A growth mindset – you actively seek feedback, iterate fast, and want to keep learning.
  • Interest in sports and live moments (ideal but not mandatory).
  • Bonus if you’ve worked in regulated industries like gaming or betting.
