The Social Partnerships Planning Coordinator - EMEA will be the central hub connecting EMEA Brand Partnerships, Ads, Digital Media, and Social Marketing teams. Responsibilities include managing the interplay between branded content/sponsorships and the Netflix EMEA social ecosystem. This role requires strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (social platforms, agencies), planning and executing regional workflows, and ensuring alignment across various markets. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in digital media, advertising, and social media marketing, with a deep understanding of brand partnerships and social media strategies across EMEA. Data analysis and platform management skills are also crucial.

  • Ability to build relationships across multiple internal teams and markets.

Context 

The EMEA Partnerships Planning function is part of the EMEA Regional Marketing team. The function is a driving force for connectivity for all things social in EMEA - liaising with both external social platform partners (e.g. Meta, TikTok), and internal cross-functional teams (e.g. Social Marketing, Title Marketing, Brand Partnerships, Ads Marketing, etc) to drive strategic and operational excellence in social marketing.

We are opening the new role of EMEA Partnerships Planning Coordinator to focus on driving EMEA connectivity for EMEA Brand Partnership Marketing and social efforts. This Planning specialist will be the connective tissue between EMEA Brand Partnerships, Ads, Digital Media, Social Marketing teams and agency partners, and will be responsible for managing the interplay between branded content / sponsorships packages, and the Netflix EMEA social ecosystem. 

Team Structure

The EMEA Partnerships Planning role - based in our Madrid office - reports into the Manager, EMEA Social Planning. These two roles form the EMEA Partnerships and Social Planning function in EMEA. 

Key Qualifications

The right candidate should have 5+ years of experience in digital media, advertising, marketing, and/or social media marketing, preferably with working and/or lived experience across multiple EMEA markets. 

Required Skills 

  • Experience in brand partnerships marketing, with a focus on paid digital media and social media-driven content and campaigns.

  • In-depth knowledge of brand collaboration and branded content placement on social media.

  • Strong background in operations and planning, with expertise in building scalable frameworks and playbooks, and managing, developing and executing regional workflows and processes.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and work across many internal cross-functional teams and markets.

Desired Skills

  • A strong understanding of social media data and analytics, and platform ads management tools, using both data-driven insights and intuition to enhance content engagement and optimize performance.

  • Understanding of effective strategies across different social media platforms and experience in planning and distributing content through multiple channels.

  • Deep knowledge of major social platforms including TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, and Instagram, along with a strong interest in online trends and digital landscape.

Core Impact Areas

EMEA Social Hub

  • Build and maintain relationships with EMEA Social Marketing leads, developing a deep understanding of local market strategies, insights and best practices. 

  • Act as the central regional information hub for social best practices, platform formats and Netflix guardrails.

EMEA 

Brand Partnerships Operations and Social Representative

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Integrated and Brand Marketing and Sponsorships team, fostering global and regional alignment and planning from deal stage to campaign delivery, while ensuring strategic and creative excellence is met for both Netflix and Brand Partner goals.

  • Build and maintain relationships with the Integrated Marketing team to understand their priorities, and drive consistent alignment with EMEA Social Marketing partners and organic social partners in other regions, with a focus on the US.

  • Act as the central social purview for all EMEA Brand Partnerships campaigns, connecting EMEA markets and ensuring global consistency in Ads and Branded partnerships Social offerings.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations with media agencies to ensure effective execution in the paid social space, including measurement and analytics, while collaborating with creative leads to align branded social content with organizational goals.

  • Plan timelines, pioneer workflows, and manage project execution for EMEA Ads Marketing social campaigns across various countries and languages, coordinating stakeholders through key milestones.

Data, Insights & Tooling

  • Support the EMEA Social Planning manager in EMEA social tooling initiatives and projects, including crafting learning agendas between regional platform partners and EMEA Social Marketing leads.

  • Contribute to regular cadence of regional discussions regarding channel, page & title performance to continually drive learnings & improvements.

  • Partner with US-based Programme Mmgt, Biz Ops & Social teams to assess, analyze and roll out new social tooling systems in EMEA.
