Job Summary

Job Description

The Frame Automation Team is responsible for project coordination and automation to support the Frame, a critical component of every wafer manufactured by Intel. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and debugging software applications for end-users or integration with other ISV applications. Development spans the full application stack, utilizing modern methodologies, secure coding, and automated build/deployment. The engineer will analyze user stories, write functional and test code, and perform comprehensive testing.
Must have:
  • Design, develop, test, and debug software applications.
  • Develop full application stack, including frontend and backend.
  • Use modern software development methodologies and programming languages.
  • Follow secure coding practices and software legal compliance.
  • Analyze user stories, write functional and test code.
  • Automate build and deployment, perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Complete SDL tasks with product security engineers.
  • Provide input to technical writers for documentation.
  • Interact with end users to define system requirements.
  • US Citizenship Required.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 4+ years of programming experience in UNIX, Linux, C, C#, C++, Python/Perl.
Good to have:
  • Semiconductor Fabrication and Lithography experience
  • Knowledge of EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools
  • Database Concepts, SQL, hardware platform architecture, networking
  • Distributed computing and/or multi-threading experience
  • Information Security protocols
  • Experience with full-stack web development

The Frame is a critical component of every wafer that is manufactured. The frame contains silicon structures that are needed by various lithographic tools for optimal functionality. The Frame Automation Team is responsible for project coordination and automation to support the Frame. We ensure Frame enablement for all products by working closely with engineers from Lithography, Process Integration, Device, Design Enablement, and RET (Resolution Enhancement Technology) teams.

As a Software Application Development Engineer, you will:

  • Designs, develops, tests, and debugs software applications used by end-users or integrated with other applications by ISVs.
  • Development may span the full application stack including both frontend and backend application development.
  • Uses modern software development methodologies and programming languages, follows secure coding practices and software legal compliance guidelines, analyzes user stories, writes both functional and test code, automates build and deployment, and performs unit integration and end-to-end testing of applications.
  • Completes SDL tasks with the assistance of product security engineers and provides input to technical writers to complete product documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • May also interact with end users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):

  • US Citizenship Required.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 4+ years of programming experience in any of the following: UNIX, Linux, C, C#, C++, Python/Perl.
