Playtech’s Sports unit is seeking a Software Developer with a unique blend of Frontend development and DevOps expertise. 

Your influential mission. You will... 

• Address bug fixes, enhance the design system, and resolve technical debt using JIRA tickets raised by the Team or QA 
• Implement the latest major version release from the Framework team into our codebase 
• Manage deployments to staging, hidden live, and production environments 
• Develop internal tools to optimize the development cycle and accelerate operational project support, QA processes, and development verification 
• Perform iterative API development based on new client-specific or generic requirements 
• Develop and adapt mobile web applications to function seamlessly as native wrapper applications 
• Actively participate in daily, weekly, and monthly team meetings 

Components for success. You... 

• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Frontend Development, particularly with Vanilla JavaScript and React, and excel at debugging issues using the browser console 
• Bring expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles 
• Have hands-on experience integrating RESTful web services and APIs 
• Work effectively with module bundlers like Webpack and build tools such as Vite or Gulp 
• Understand UI and UX principles in depth, ensuring seamless web application experiences 
• Have a solid background in state management libraries like Redux 
• Are well-versed in CI/CD pipelines, including configuration and maintenance 
• Have experience with CI/CD tools, such as CodeFresh 
• Understand containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes 
• Are familiar with monitoring and logging tools like Kibana and Grafana
• Utilize Git proficiently for version control, implementing effective branching strategies such as GitFlow

Playtech Sports specialises in the provision of online betting and gaming software to UK and global service providers. Headquartered in London and founded in 2005, our GenBet product provides operators with a robust and secure central customer management platform onto which any number of products can be added and managed. Sportsbook, Lottery, Pool Betting and Fixed-Odds Games modules allow the operator to tailor their online service whilst a comprehensive back office and reporting suite provides powerful tools for event and market management.
