Job Description
This Software Developer III role focuses on front-end development for Google Cloud Runtimes. Responsibilities include writing and reviewing code, participating in design reviews, contributing to documentation, debugging and resolving system issues, and managing project deliverables. The ideal candidate will have experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development, along with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms. Experience with large-scale systems, performance analysis, and accessible technologies is preferred. The role involves working on critical Google projects with opportunities for team and project changes.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years software development experience
- 2+ years experience with data structures/algorithms
- 2+ years front-end framework experience
- Code review and debugging skills
Good to have:
- Master's degree in CS
- Experience with large-scale systems
- Performance analysis experience
- Experience developing accessible technologies

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test developing.

Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
