Our student information system is an integrated SIS that manages the entire student life cycle including Admissions, Student Services, Business Office, Financial Aid, Alumni Development and Career Tracking functions.
Our SIS is a single database student information system that allows clients to manage marketing, recruitment, applications, course registration, billing, transcripts, financial aid, career tracking, alumni development, fundraising, student attendance and class rosters. It allows real-time access to data that is more accurate and available when our users it.
Our SaaS model means clients don’t need to build and maintain an expensive and complex IT infrastructure. Our APIs and custom integrations will keep all their data in sync and accessible in real-time. Since the database is fully integrated, everything is updated in real-time and there’s no waiting for information.

As an SDET for Java-based applications, you will be responsible for designing, developing and executing automated tests to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will work closely with developers, PO and other stakeholders to understand requirements, create test strategies, and deliver high-quality, robust applications.

Position Overview
As an SDET for Java-based applications, you will be responsible for designing, developing and executing automated tests to ensure the highest quality of our software products. You will work closely with developers, PO and other stakeholders to understand requirements, create test strategies, and deliver high-quality, robust applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for Java-based applications using tools such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, or similar
- Test Strategy: Collaborate with development and QA teams to create comprehensive test plans and strategies that cover functional, regression, performance, and security testing
- Code Review and Improvement: Conduct code reviews to ensure that test code and automation scripts follow best practices and improve test coverage and efficiency
- Defect Identification: Identify, document, and track defects and issues found during testing, and work with development teams to resolve them
- Performance Testing: Perform performance and load testing to ensure applications meet performance benchmarks and handle expected traffic loads
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for test cases, test results, and automated test scripts
- Experience: Proven experience as an SDET or in a similar role, with a strong focus on Java-based applications
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Java and experience with Java-based testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or similar
- Test Automation: Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or similar
- Performance Testing: Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Test / Developer or equivalent role, in APIs, especially REST calls
- Expertise in Java, experience using a SQL database (MySQL, MSSQL, etc.)
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Conversational English required
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with API testing and documentation tools
- To ensure coverage with North American teams, working hours will be between 2 PM to 11 PM India time
- Working from our Chennai office (in Guindy) for a minimum of 3 days a week
