Job Description

Google seeks a Software Engineer to contribute to projects crucial to its mission. The role involves developing and maintaining software products at a massive scale, requiring expertise in data structures, algorithms, and multiple programming languages. Responsibilities encompass software design, architecture, testing, and launch. The ideal candidate will display leadership, versatility, and enthusiasm for tackling full-stack challenges across diverse areas like information retrieval, distributed computing, and AI. The position focuses on a specific project critical to Google's needs, with opportunities for team and project changes.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years software development experience
Data structures/algorithms expertise
Experience with software testing, maintenance, and launch
Software design and architecture experience

Good to have:

Master's or PhD in Computer Science
Technical leadership skills
Team development experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
