Software Engineer (Epic)

We’re seeking a Software Engineer (Epic) for an exciting 100% remote, long-term contract opportunity with a leading healthcare technology team based in Rochester, MN.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of scalable microservices and help integrate Epic systems to support clinical workflows and analytics. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for clinical applications

• Collaborate with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams

• Ensure backend microservices are highly available, scalable, and accurate

• Integrate EpicCare Ambulatory/Inpatient modules with backend systems

• Utilize cloud computing, data science, and machine learning technologies

Requirements:

• Certified in Epic Ambulatory or Inpatient

• Experience with EpicCare Ambulatory or Inpatient module build

• Proficient in backend development using Cache, Chronicles, and iFrame integration

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience)

• At least 1 year of software engineering experience (internship or full-time)

• 2+ years of experience with a high-level language (e.g., C, C++, Java, Golang, C#)

• Strong understanding of cloud-based microservices and healthcare workflows

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week, and the assignment must last a minimum of 10 weeks.
