Software Engineer - Gameplay (Contractor)
Job Summary
Job Description
This contract position for a Software Engineer - Gameplay is based in Dublin, Ireland. Responsibilities include collaborating with the planning team to understand product needs and implement optimal solutions. The role also involves creating tools for art and planning teams, streamlining workflows, and efficiently debugging gameplay features based on feedback. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of game development experience, proficiency in C++ or C#, and a strong understanding of game design patterns. Experience with commercial game engines (Unreal or Unity) is preferred.
Must have:
- 4+ years game dev experience
- C++ or C# proficiency
- Game design pattern understanding
- Excellent debugging skills
- Collaboration with planning team
Good to have:
- 2+ years gameplay development
- Unreal or Unity experience
- Experience with prototyping
- Agile development experience
- Working with medium-sized teams

Job Details
职责：
- 与策划团队合作，沟通理解产品需求，提出并实施最佳解决方案
- 理解策划、美术团队的需求，帮助其实现相关的工具，并实现相关的工作流程
- 根据QA、策划的反馈意见，高效的的debug，迭代相关的Gameplay功能
必备条件：
- 在游戏行业中有4年以上作为软件工程师的开发经验
- 精通C++或C#
- 参与过至少一个已发布的游戏项目
- 对常见的游戏和软件设计模式有深入理解
- 出色的调试技能
- 在技术决策中具备产品意识、务实态度和玩家同理心
优先条件：
- 拥有2年以上的游戏玩法开发经验
- 具有使用商业引擎（如Unreal或Unity）的经验
- 具备与中型工程团队合作的经验
- 参与过游戏开发的原型设计和前期制作阶段
- 具备敏捷开发经验
