As a Software Engineer at Google Pay Markets in Tokyo, you'll design, develop, and launch cutting-edge features for Google Pay across multiple Google products. Good To Have:

Computer Science background (data structures, algorithms, software design)
Payments experience

Must Have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2+ years software development experience (Java)
Experience designing and implementing full-stack systems
Work on multiple Google surfaces
Develop prototypes and iterate
Own complex projects

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java).

Experience in designing and implementing full stack systems through its lifecycle.
Experience with payments.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and launching cutting-edge Google Pay features on several Google products. You will work on both front-end and back-end systems, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to integrate eWallets, Loyalty and other payment solutions into Google products. You will own projects end-to-end, from prototype to launch, and contribute to Google Pay's mission of becoming the preferred digital payment platform across the region.

Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.
