As a Software Engineer II at Lytx, you will contribute to the development of industry-leading Driver Safety/Fleet Management Software. You will work on the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment of software features and components within an Agile environment. Your work will contribute to the Lytx solution, which collects and presents information for tracking driver safety and improving the efficiency of commercial transportation fleets. The role involves prototyping, deploying, and testing new solutions. It also includes building scalable solutions to manage events and real-time status of devices.
Must have:
  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Object Oriented Design patterns
  • 2+ years of experience with C#
  • 3+ years of experience implementing web technology frameworks
  • 2+ years experience developing web services such as RESTful API's
  • 1+ years of experience creating databases with SQL or other technologies
  • Experience working with dynamic Agile teams

Why Lytx: 

We are seeking a Software Engineer II to help accelerate our industry leading Driver Safety/Fleet Management Software.  Our products manage massive amounts of data collected from over 600,000 vehicles worldwide.  We use the data and video to derive intelligent insights using Video Telematics, Machine Vision and AI for all devices and vehicles on the network.   As a Software Engineer II, you have the opportunity to work the full SDLC including, technical requirements, software design, development, unit testing and deployment of production software features and components in an Agile environment. Your efforts will make a positive impact on the Lytx solution which collects, organizes, and presents information for tracking driver safety and improving the efficiency for commercial transportation fleets.    

 

You’ll Get To: 

  • Rapidly prototype, deploy, and test new solutions within our markets  

  • Provide state-of-the-art user experiences across mobile and desktop solutions  

  • Build out scalable solutions to manage events and real-time status of close to a million independent devices  

  • Own and operate scalable production services and user interface  

  • Develop and test new solutions that enhance our position within our markets.

  • Perform other duties as assigned 

 

What You’ll Need:  

 

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience 

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing common Object Oriented Design patterns to design and implement web based software solutions.  

  • 2+ years of experience with C#

  • 3+ years of experience implementing web technology frameworks such as: JavaScript, TypeScript.

  • 2+ years’ experience developing web services such as RESTful API's etc.  

  • 1+ years of experience creating databases with SQL or other technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL SQL, MongoDB etc.  

  • A passion for working on all tiers (web, services, data)  

  • Experience working with dynamic Agile teams.  

  • Contributor to successful product releases.  

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Hourly rate is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  This position is also eligible for an incentive compensation plan.  The expected hiring hourly rate for this position is:

$48.32 - $61.30
