Job Description

This role involves software development for Google Pixel Camera's Auto White Balance and Color algorithms. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and deploying auto white balance features aligned with emerging camera technologies; designing and developing optimized algorithms for mobile platforms; and collaborating with camera system software and hardware teams. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience), 1+ years of software development experience (C, C++, or Python), and experience with camera 3A tuning and algorithm development. Experience with image processing, computer vision, machine learning, and Android mobile camera software is preferred.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent
  • 1+ years software development experience (C, C++, Python)
  • Camera 3A tuning and algorithm development experience
  • Develop and deploy AWB features
  • Develop optimized AWB algorithms for mobile
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in CS or related field
  • Image processing, computer vision, ML experience
  • Android mobile camera software development experience
  • Image process pipeline tuning and algorithm development
  • Interest in photography

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent related practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++, or Python.).
  • Experience in camera 3A (auto white balance, auto exposure, auto focus) tuning and algorithm development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience in developing algorithms for image processing, computer vision, machine learning, computational photography, or color science.
  • Experience in developing Android mobile camera software including camera HAL, framework, applications, etc.
  • Experience in Image process pipeline tuning and developing relevant algorithms.
  • Interest in photography.
