Job Description

Google seeks a Software Engineer III, Full Stack to develop and maintain critical products and systems. Responsibilities include developing and reviewing code, leading design reviews, contributing to documentation, and resolving product issues. The ideal candidate possesses strong full-stack development skills (Java, C++, or Python), experience with data structures and algorithms, and a passion for pushing technology forward. Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience with data structures/algorithms
  • Java, C++, or Python coding experience
  • Full-stack development experience
  • Code review and debugging skills
Good to have:
  • Master's/PhD in CS or related field
  • Experience with Flume, Borg, Boq, PDWH
  • Data analytics or A/B testing experience
  • Accessible technology development experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience in coding using either Java, C++ or Python.
  • Experience in Full Stack Development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in Flume, Borg, Boq and Payments Data Warehouse (PDWH).
  • Experience with data analytics or online experimentation via A/B testing.
  • Experience in developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product or system code.
  • Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
