As a Software Engineer III, Mobile (iOS), Google Assistant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions for Google Assistant on iOS. You will work closely with other engineers to ensure that our products are high quality, scalable, and meet the needs of our users. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback. You will be expected to triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with iOS application development.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
Good to have:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with iOS application development.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
