We are seeking a talented .NET Engineer with Angular individual to join our team at Marsh McLennan , who will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of performant, highly scalable software solutions. This role will be based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania as part of our local Tech Hub.
This hands-on role requires the candidate to work collaboratively in a team following a Scaled Agile development methodology. You must be a self-starter, delivery-focused, and possess a broad set of technology skills.

We will count on you to:
- Design and develop features for our main product, Darwin.
- Code the front-end using Angular and implement business layer services in C#.
- Ensure continuous improvement by proposing and implementing new designs and engineering practices that enhance team effectiveness.
- Interpret business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform coding based on written Agile stories, including unit tests, while adhering to coding standards and guidelines.
- Implement presentation logic and user interfaces that are responsive across all devices and browsers.
- Follow and implement architectural designs for new features.
- Investigate, analyse, and resolve reported defects through code enhancements, ensuring unit tests are included.
- Assist team members in resolving reported defects and provide guidance on feature development, enhancements, and best practices.
- Coach and mentor junior team members to foster their growth and development.
- Deliver on the Darwin Roadmap, balancing productivity, quality, and delivery with technical and design standards to manage technical debt effectively.
- Collaborate closely with Senior Engineers, providing reliable estimates and ensuring delivery commitments are realistic and achievable.
- Engage in opportunities to collaborate on other projects or initiatives to build your network of local and global developers.
What you need to have:
- At least 3 years of experience developing software applications (especially .NET&Angular)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Romanian and English.
- Experience in designing and developing maintainable, scalable, extensible, reliable, and secure systems.
- Proficiency in front-end development using the latest web technologies to create user-friendly and accessible experiences.
- Experience working in multi-disciplined teams, including Architecture, Quality Engineering, Product Management, and UX.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (SOLID) fundamentals and common design patterns.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and full software development life cycle experience.
- Knowledge of web performance, testability, accessibility, and security principles.
- Understanding of HTTP(S) and other common communication protocols, as well as RESTful APIs.
- Hands on experience with C# .NET and ASP.NET Core.
- Experience with HTML & CSS.
- Proven experience working with Angular 2.0 and above, and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of Web API development.
- Proactive communication skills and ability to collaborate across groups.
What makes you stand out?
- Experience with LESS or SASS.
- Knowledge of MVC and WCF or gRPC.
- RabbitMQ and experience with UI testing tools/frameworks.
- Good knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB, or other NoSQL).
- Experience working with version control systems such as Git/TFS.
- Experience designing and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure with providers such as AWS and Microsoft Azure
