This Software Engineer role within Google's Pixel team centers on developing and maintaining the thermal software components for Pixel phones and tablets. Responsibilities include collaborating on thermal management solutions, conducting performance testing and analysis, developing automation tools, and participating in code reviews. The ideal candidate possesses strong C/C++ skills, experience with embedded OS, data structures, and algorithms. The role requires collaboration with various teams to optimize system performance and contribute to continuous software improvement. The position is based in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in C or C++ programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • Experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

  • Develop and maintain tools and scripts to automate thermal testing and analysis.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes.
