Job Description

Google Cloud seeks a Software Engineer, Platform Security in Munich, Germany. Responsibilities include architecting and implementing automated security test infrastructure, developing threat models and risk assessments, defining security requirements for hardware products, providing subject matter expertise to design and development teams, and conducting security reviews of hardware/firmware components. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience, along with 2 years of C++ coding experience and debugging experience across hardware, test setup, firmware, and software. Experience with all aspects of computer and network security is preferred. The role involves working on critical projects within Google Cloud, with opportunities for team and project changes.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent
2 years C++ coding experience
Debugging experience (hardware, firmware, software)
Architect and implement automated security tests
Develop threat models and risk assessments

Good to have:

Experience in all aspects of computer and network security
Experience with hardware platform security

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with C++ coding language.
Experience debugging issues relating to hardware, test setup, firmware,
and software.

Preferred qualifications:

Interest and experience in all aspects of computer and network security entire lifecycle from programming, operations, use (including user experience).

Responsibilities

Architect and implement automated security test infrastructure and specific tests to ensure correct and sufficient implementation of security controls for hardware platforms.
Develop and refine threat models, risk assessments, and define security requirements for hardware products entering Google’s data centers.
Provide subject matter expertise to teams designing and developing the next generation data center hardware.
Scope and deliver comprehensive security reviews of hardware/firmware components.
