The Software Engineer Traineeship at Visa offers a 16-month program designed for individuals with no prior experience in software engineering. The program consists of an 18-week bootcamp providing comprehensive training, followed by a year of on-the-job training with mentorship from Visa's tech leaders. You'll gain hands-on experience, receive technical instruction, and participate in career development workshops. This traineeship allows you to work across various Visa products, including consumer payments, commercial payments, and corporate IT, depending on your skills, interests, and team needs.
Must have:
  • 18 years or older
  • Not enrolled in a software engineering degree program
  • Eligible to work in Poland
  • Available to work in Warsaw, Poland
  • Fluent Polish & B2 English
  • Basic analytical skills

Job Description

Software Engineer Traineeship: If you are passionate about software engineering and want to join a global leader in digital payments, the Software Engineer Traineeship Program at Visa is for you. This program combines intensive training, hands-on mentorship, and real-world projects to help you launch your career as a software engineer at Visa. 

This is a 16 months long opportunity aimed at people with no prior experience but interested in IT training with an organization whilst also earning a salary. 

Software Engineer Trainees will be put through an 18-week bootcamp first, where they will receive full-time classroom-style training that will prepare them to begin their careers as Software Engineer professionals at Visa.   

Following this Trainees will complete one year of On-The-Job Training, during which time they will receive hands on mentorship from leaders within on of the technology groups at Visa, as well as related technical instruction, and career development workshops to develop professional and durable skills. Specific assignments will depend on upon your skillsets, interest, and team needs. By applying to this position, your application is automatically considered across multiple software development teams, so you could potentially work across a range of Visa products, including consumer payments, commercial payments and corporate IT.

This apprenticeship is intended for individuals who want to learn and develop entry-level technical and professional skills in software engineering. Qualifications

  • 18 years or older.
  • Not currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree program in a software engineering field (other degree backgrounds are welcome to apply).
  • Eligible to work in Poland.
  • Must be available to work in-person in Warsaw, Poland.
  • Speak Polish fluently and have at least a B2 level in English. 
  • Have basic analytical skills / mindset.

Additional Information

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
