The GAMURS Group is a network of gaming and entertainment publications with brands like Dot Esports, Destructoid, Escapist, and Prima Games. We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to join the Product team. As a key member of our team, you'll be contributing to the constant improvement of user experiences across our network of sites, working closely with the team to deliver high quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to the Product team by writing high-level code, ensuring quality through pull request reviews, and sharing knowledge by creating supporting documentation
- Collaborate with team members and other teams in order to deliver new product features
- Providing support by investigating and addressing technical support issues
- Contribute to the team in internal planning
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of our websites
- Deploy and manage your own work in our production environment
Requirements
- You have an understanding of the fundamentals of computer science and software engineering
- You have confidence in working with PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- You have excellent communication skills in English
- You are able to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred
- You have knowledge of technical SEO
- You have familiarity with Cloudflare and its products
- You have experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js
- You have recent experience in working with WordPress and its ecosystem
- You have experience working with high-traffic, high-scale websites
