Job Description

AVER is seeking a Software Test Engineer with 8+ years of experience in software testing supporting .Net Development teams. Responsibilities include writing test cases, plans, and scripts; performing integration and production readiness reviews; leading junior resources; and performing formal system testing. The role involves analyzing user requirements, designing test plans, participating in risk management, and ensuring testing adheres to standards and budgets. The ideal candidate possesses in-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience with .Net/C# application testing. The position is remote and requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Must have:

8+ years Software Testing experience supporting .Net Development teams
Experience in technical analysis (functional, regression, 508 compliance)
Test case/plan/script writing
Integration testing & production readiness reviews
Agile methodology experience

Good to have:

Microsoft Azure DevOps
Agile Scrum & Kanban methods

Description

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer with in-depth knowledge and experience assisting with agile methodology development testing of enterprise applications. This role is technically focused from a software development lifecycle perspective to deploy products into a production environment. Responsibilities Include:

Support full systems development lifecycle with well-rounded technical expertise
Write test cases, test plans, and test scripts
Perform integration testing to ensure requirements have been correctly developed
Perform a production readiness review for acceptance and implementation
Support covers of all websites, web-enabled data-entry systems, standalone and client-server applications, and collaborative computing products
Lead and manage junior resources on the team
Perform formal system testing activities for a particular project or subset of a larger project under supervision of more experienced test personnel
Perform analysis of documented user requirements and directs or assists in the design of test plans in support of user requirements for moderately complex to complex software or IT systems
Participate in all phases of risk management assessment and software/hardware development
Ensure test design and documentation support all applicable clients, agency or industry standards timelines and budgets.
Ensure testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results, and project managers are fully informed of testing status and application deviations from documented user requirements
Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications
Research and tests integration of new products based on client requirements
Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms
Consult with project teams to identify application requirements
Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management
Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools
Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) deliverables and artifacts
Test across User Administrative functions, legacy data migration processes, queries and reports, and interface process to an existing system
Support User Acceptance Testing

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an related field.

Experience Requirements:

8+ years of experience with Software Testing supporting .Net Development teams
8+ years of experience in technical analysis including functional, regression, and 508 compliance application testing
Knowledge of how to utilize test tools for .Net/ C# application and software development testing
Ability to document test scenarios, cases, plans, and scripts
Desired Requirements:
Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps
Knowledge of Agile Scrum & Kanban methods

Location:

REMOTE (Local to Washington, DC)

Security Requirements:

Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust)
This role supports a government agency which requires U.S. citizenship
