Our team is expanding, and we are on the lookout for a talented Solution Architect specialising in Digital Manufacturing to join us in our EU locations.

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Solution Architect with expertise in Digital Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SCADA, IoT technologies, and line connectivity. This role requires direct engagement with our clients, including visits to their manufacturing sites to assess and improve their existing hardware and software architecture, focusing on enhancing production planning processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Client Site Assessments:
    • Conduct site visits to understand and evaluate clients' current hardware and software environments.
    • Gather and analyze data to identify system inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  2. System Architecture Evaluation:
    • Assess existing manufacturing systems, including MES, SCADA, IoT, and line connectivity.
    • Evaluate the current state of production planning systems and processes.
  3. Design and Recommendations:
    • Develop comprehensive architectural designs for digital manufacturing solutions.
    • Recommend system improvements and enhancements to optimize production planning and manufacturing processes.
  4. Implementation Leadership:
    • Lead the implementation of recommended changes and new systems.
    • Ensure seamless integration of new solutions with existing systems.
  5. Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment of solutions.
    • Provide ongoing post-implementation support and system monitoring to ensure optimal performance.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of system assessments, designs, and implementation plans.
    • Prepare regular progress reports and performance evaluations for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  1. Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Professional Experience:
    • Extensive experience in digital manufacturing and related technologies.
    • Strong experience with MES systems; Ignition MES experience is a plus.
    • Proficiency with SCADA systems and IoT technologies.
    • Hands-on experience with line connectivity technologies.
    • Consultancy experience
  3. Technical Skills:
    • Ability to evaluate, design, and integrate complex manufacturing systems architectures.
    • Proficient in optimizing production planning systems and processes.
    • Architecture design principles and patterns
  4. Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with a diverse range of stakeholders.
    • Strong leadership abilities to drive projects forward.
  5. Other Requirements:
    • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to client sites within the EU.
    • Valid driver’s license or other reliable means of transportation.
