As a Solution Area Specialist - Data & AI at Microsoft, you'll drive the Azure Data and AI business in your territory. Key responsibilities include driving sales, nurturing customer relationships, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You'll be a thought leader, building trust with technical decision-makers, providing clarity on enterprise-wide data estate migrations and modernization, and addressing data governance and security concerns. You'll also manage pipelines, forecasts, and provide high-quality insights, working closely with account and customer success teams. The role demands expertise in cloud-based databases, data warehousing, BI, analytics, big data technologies, and AI/ML platforms. Experience with enterprise commercial industries is essential.
Must have:
  • 4+ years Data & AI sales/account management experience
  • Drive Azure Data & AI sales and customer relationships
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Expertise in cloud-based databases, data warehousing, BI, and AI/ML platforms
  • Enterprise-wide data estate migration and modernization experience

As the Data & AI - Sales Specialist you will be accountable for the Azure Data and AI business in your territory, and play a key role in driving sales, nurturing customer relationships, driving alignment and partnership with internal stakeholders (Account teams, Customer Success teams, Engineering and product leadership teams), and customer/partner stakeholders. You will lead the Azure Data and AI business transformation in your territory by creating and executing the Azure plan. Be a thought leader and build trust with key technical decision makers and influencers across customers and partners.  You will be responsible to provide customers clarity on enterprise wide data estate migration, modernization, transformation with respect to enterprise data.  Be comfortable addressing topics like information security, data governance, and compliance. Drive operational excellence, including pipleline management, accurate deal forecasts, and providing high-quality insights. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 4+ years Data & AI related sales or account management experience (Cloud based Databases - SQL/ NoSQL, Datawarehousing, BI & Reporting, Real Time and Streaming Analytics systems, Big Data (Hadoop, Spark, Trino, Kafka, Flink ), Machine Learning and AI Platforms).

 

Additional or preferred qualifications:

 

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (i.e., MBA), Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years in Data & AI with experience in leading large scale deals involving data (transactional and analytical databases) and application migration / modernizations to the cloud, handling cloud data governance and security concersations and policies etc) or large AI / ML modernizations to the cloud.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Commercial Industries, including Oil & Gas, Banking, Retail and Manufacturing.

  • You will be accountable for the Azure business and play a key role in driving sales, nurturing customer relationships, driving alignment and partnership with internal stakeholders (Account teams, Customer Success teams, Engineering and product leadership teams), and customer/partner stakeholders, inclusive of BDMs and ITDMs.
  • Be a thought leader and build trust with key technical decision makers and influencers across customers and partners.  Provide clarity on enterprise-wide data estate migration, modernization, transformation with respect to enterprise data.  Be comfortable addressing topics like information security, data governance, and compliance. 
  • Collaborate with ATU and CSU teams to identify and qualify Azure Data & AI pipeline, collaborate with Tech Teams to accelerate Azure Data and AI pipeline and solve for blockers to drive ACR and SQL billed revenue.
  • Drive operational excellence, including pipleline management, accurate deal forecasts, and providing high-quality insights. 
  • Experienced at building and maintaining relationships with business leaders from customers, top Azure Global System Integrators and Partners.  
  • Possess cross-team collaboration and communication skills. Be effective at partnering with all required Microsoft stakeholders in the subsidiary and Asia region to drive account coverage, project assignment and effective cross-team collaboration.
