The Spanish Language Quality Assurance Testers role involves ensuring linguistic, cultural, and contextual accuracy in localized video games. Responsibilities include reviewing in-game text, audio, and subtitles, identifying and reporting localization issues, and collaborating with a multilingual team. The job requires testing various games, from AAA titles to indie games, ensuring adherence to game guidelines and glossaries, and providing actionable suggestions for fixes. The role demands proficiency in Spanish, excellent English communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. The job will be on a full-time basis and based in Berlin.

Job Details

LEVEL UP AND START A NEW ADVENTURE!

We are always on the lookout for passionate Language Quality Assurance (LQA’s) to fill positions in our Berlin office (company language is English). The job will be on a full-time basis. When a project becomes available for you, you will be invited to play through the game and make note of any issues you encountered while playing. Our test leads will guide you through the testing process and help you fill out concise bug reports for the game developers. You will test a variety of engaging, unreleased games such as experimental virtual reality games, next-gen AAA games, inspirational indie games, addicting mobile games and much more.
Please note the testing is performed at our office in Berlin.

YOUR ROLE

  • Ensure the linguistic, cultural, and contextual accuracy of localized in-game text, audio, and subtitles.
  • Review the cosmetic integrity and correct implementation of all in-game text elements.
  • Participate in the testing of a AAA title with a focus on language quality and cultural relevance.
  • Confirm consistent application of game guidelines and glossaries across all content.
  • Maintain strict adherence to approved terminology and publisher standards at all times.
  • Accurately identify, document, and report localization issues using the designated bug tracking system.
  • Provide actionable suggestions for reported issues and verify the effectiveness of implemented fixes.
  • Collaborate with a diverse, multilingual team in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Follow detailed test instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.


Your profile

  • Native proficiency in spoken and written Spanish, with excellent communication skills in English.
  • A passion for video games is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with both PC and mobile devices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Opportunity to play through a AAA game and document any issues encountered during gameplay.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Quick to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance or game localization is a strong advantage.
