Job Description

LSEG is seeking a Specialist, Data Office to support enterprise data-related projects. The role involves working with Managers on priorities and updates, producing project artifacts, and creating internal presentations. Key responsibilities include promoting data culture, rolling out data governance frameworks, liaising with data governance leaders, leading corporate-wide data governance activities, supporting data stewards, governing the data governance implementation roadmap, supervising a Data Governance team, completing project deliverables, and administering tools. The role also involves assisting in the development and adoption of corporate data standards and guidelines and providing thought leadership for Data Governance metrics and reporting, adopting industry best practices.

Supports a portfolio of enterprise data-related projects, working closely with Managers to stay aligned on priorities, projects and updates by producing required project artifacts and creating internal presentations and communications as required.

  • Promote data culture and awareness across the organization
  • Rolls out an enterprise-wide data governance framework and data governance assessment and management framework, using the Policy and Standards (PSR) Review process aligned with the Group’s change methodologies
  • Liaises with data governance leaders to develop requirements and support with plans for strategic priorities.
  • lead and manage corporate-wide data governance activities as part of the Corporate Data Strategy, Governance and Architecture programs
  • Support data stewards and other business side roles in their efforts to increase quality and governance of the data in their domain
  • Supports and governs the data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for development of business-based capabilities.
  • Supervises a Data Governance team to deliver projects, when necessary, and provides coaching and training to junior members of the team to develop the capabilities within the function.
  • Completes assigned project deliverables on time and operates and administer tools for business-as-usual activities for projects.
  • Assist in the development, roll out and adoption of corporate data standards and guidelines across the enterprise
  • Provides thought leadership for Data Governance metrics and reporting
  • Adopts and follows industry best practices for Data Governance and its lifecycle into practical daily tasks.
