Neostella seeks a SQL Developer for their data migration team. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions; creating and modifying database tables, views, and indexes; troubleshooting performance issues; developing and implementing data migration strategies; performing data analysis and validation; mitigating data migration risks; maintaining documentation; contributing to best practices; and staying updated on industry trends. The ideal candidate possesses 1+ years of experience in SQL development and data migration, proficiency in SQL scripting languages and database management systems, a solid understanding of database migration concepts, and experience with database administration, data modeling, and schema design. Familiarity with ETL processes is also beneficial.

We are looking for a SQL Developer with expertise in data migrations. This candidate will be responsible for developing SQL solutions and managing database migrations for our organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy SQL code and ensure seamless data migration across different systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions to meet business requirements.
  • Create and modify database tables, views, and indexes for optimal performance and data retrieval.
  • Identify and troubleshoot SQL performance issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Develop and implement data migration strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime during the migration process.
  • Perform thorough data analysis and validation to ensure successful migration and data accuracy.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with data migration and develop contingency plans.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of SQL code, and migration processes.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and guidelines for SQL development and database migration.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies related to SQL development and database migration.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience with SQL development and data migration
  • Strong experience as a SQL Developer with or in data migration projects, working with complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in SQL scripting languages (e.g., T-SQL, PL/SQL) and database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Solid understanding of database migration concepts and methodologies.
  • Experience with database administration, data modeling, and schema design.
  • Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
