Job Description

As a Sr. Advisor, Solutions Consulting, you will be a subject-matter expert, working with key clients and supporting the Sales team to drive business opportunities. This role involves creating and delivering presentations, case studies, and cost-benefit analyses. You will identify value-add opportunities, showcase TransUnion’s products, engage resources across business units, and understand industry trends. Travel to client meetings, primarily within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), is required, with a hybrid work environment (remote and in-person). The incumbent will solve customers' problems, delivering fulsome recommendations and compelling presentations. They will also provide senior leadership with valuable industry/market and customer driven insight to inform long-term growth strategy.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Financial Services with Credit Risk experience
  • Understanding of product P&L
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficiency in building PowerPoint presentations
  • Excellent communication skills
Good to have:
  • Understanding of credit bureau data

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sciences, mathematics, statistics, or related field such as business, finance, economics, or equivalent. 
  • 7+ years of experience in Financial Services with Credit Risk related accountabilities from Adjudication to Account Management including collections across credit product(s). 
  • Must have a business understanding of respective product(s) P&L e.g. profitability and loss provisions. 
  • Understanding of credit bureau(s) data is preferred. 
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in managing formulas and pivot table. 
  • Proficient in building PowerPoint presentations with clear messaging. 
  • Quick thinker, unconventional problem-solving capabilities. 
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written) with ability to communicate complex concepts and solutions successfully to all levels of management and technical expertise. 
  • Must have proven ability to interact and mediate with all levels of organization, from most junior to most senior, from all aspects of business including technical and operational. 

Impact You'll Make:

The individual in this position will serve as a subject-matter expert, proactively working with our key clients and supporting our Sales team to drive business opportunities for products and analytics services. This individual will have the ability to leverage their previous experience along with TransUnion's best practices to help solve our customers' problems, delivering fulsome recommendations and compelling presentations. Additionally, they will provide senior leadership with valuable industry/market and customer driven insight to inform long-term growth strategy.

Achieving the desired outcomes will require creating and delivering pitch decks, case studies, detailed reviews of clients' portfolios, research, and producing cost-benefit analyses. The incumbent will find value-add opportunities for clients to help maintain and nurture a strong revenue base, mutually satisfying business relationships, in part by the following:

  • Leading in proposal development by transforming client or prospective client requirements into consultative solutions that demonstrate value added services.
  • Showcasing expertise of TransUnion’s individual products and how they tie to clients’ needs for business growth, risk selection, identity management, and marketing
  • Engaging resources across other TransUnion business units and functional areas in support of new product assessment and development efforts for specific vertical lines of business and/or industry segments – some of the functional areas may include legal, compliance, finance, Data Science, and IT.
  • Understanding industry trends and the client at the level needed to proactively identify areas of business opportunities and analytical needs of customers, while demonstrating this competence in client presentations.
  • Making formal presentations at executive meetings, conventions, and other speaking engagements in a particular area of business or product expertise.

Travel (primarily within GTA) is a requirement for client meetings; team operates in a flexible work environment (remote as well as in-person).

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
