Job Description

Ajmera Infotech seeks a Senior Backend Engineer proficient in Node.js to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for leading financial institutions. Responsibilities include architecting and developing Node.js and Express.js based systems, designing RESTful APIs, optimizing database queries (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL), writing unit and integration tests, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting code reviews, and documenting technical processes. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of backend development experience and strong experience with Node-RED. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a must.

Must have:

5+ years backend development experience
Proficiency in Node.js and Express.js
Experience with Node-RED
Database management (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL)
RESTful API design
Cloud platform familiarity (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Good to have:

Microservices architecture
Containerization technologies
Message broker systems (RabbitMQ or Kafka)
GraphQL
DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Open-source contributions

Job Summary:

Ajmera Infotech is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer proficient in Node.js to join our team. Responsibilities:

Architect, develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js.
Design and implement RESTful APIs to support frontend and mobile applications.
Optimize database queries and schemas for enhanced performance.
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and stability.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.
Conduct thorough code reviews and uphold coding standards.
Document technical designs, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
Proficiency in Node.js and Express.js.
Should have experience in Node-RED
Strong background in database management with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Excellent grasp of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies.
Knowledge of message broker systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
Familiarity with GraphQL and its implementation.
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Active involvement in open-source projects or developer communities.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven work experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a portfolio of past projects.
