We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accounting Manager with 15+ years of experience, preferably from the IT or ITES industry, and a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CMA) qualification. The successful candidate will have deep expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and the ability to work with ERP systems such as MS D365. This role will be responsible for overseeing inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), supply chain costing, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. Additionally, the role requires support during audits and ongoing process improvements.
 
What you’ll do:  
  • Cost Accounting Leadership: Lead and manage the cost accounting function, ensuring accurate costing of goods, inventory, and product lines.
  • Inventory Accounting: Oversee inventory accounting processes, including tracking purchases, sales distribution, stock accounting, and international movements, ensuring proper valuation and reporting.
  • COGS Management: Manage and analyze the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), ensuring accurate recording of costs related to production, distribution, and logistics.
  • Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination: Work closely with supply chain, product line, and logistics teams to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of costs related to inventory and distribution.
  • Data Review & Analysis: Review and analyze financial and inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • ERP System Utilization: Ensure effective use of MS D365 (or other ERP systems) for recording and managing cost and inventory data, ensuring seamless integration with financial reporting processes.
  • Compliance with US GAAP: Ensure that all cost accounting processes adhere to US GAAP standards, particularly in relation to inventory valuation, COGS, and financial reporting.
  • Audit Support: Prepare and provide detailed documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in cost accounting procedures, inventory management, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
 
What you’ve done:   
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CMA) qualification required.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within the IT or ITES industry.
  • Extensive experience in MS D365 or other ERP systems for inventory and cost accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP with a focus on inventory accounting and supply chain processes.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and financial data analysis.
