The Senior Engineering Manager will lead a team developing and maintaining the Agent Platform. Responsibilities include building scalable distributed systems, partnering with AI/ML teams, and ensuring product quality, security, and reliability. The role involves mentoring engineers, upholding company culture, and collaborating with various teams. The manager will also be responsible for providing actionable metrics and alerts, and communicating decisions effectively.
Must have:
  • 8+ years of experience as a software developer.
  • 4+ years of experience as an engineering manager.
  • Experience leading end-to-end ownership of a product line.
  • Shipped product features that leverage LLMs and/or other AI-enabled tools.
  • Experience designing and scaling cloud-native distributed systems.
  • Experience with systems with high uptime and availability requirements.
  • Interested in attracting and retaining engineering talent from diverse backgrounds.
  • A partner and collaborator who prioritizes the success of the team.

We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to grow our product team.

What You'll Do

    • Lead a team developing and maintaining the Agent Platform, which allows users to automate sales workflows by configuring and deploying intelligent agents that operate across Highspot’s suite of sales enablement capabilities
    • Build scalable distributed systems and the tools for managing them which are deployed across multiple cloud environments worldwide
    • Partner closely with our AI/ML teams to deliver innovative AI-powered solutions that solve customer problems
    • Lead a team of engineers, inspiring and motivating your team to do their best work. As we continue building our platform, this will include regularly jumping in to help with coding, debugging, and design
    • Consistently deliver a product that maximizes product quality, security, and reliability, including building and maintaining observable systems that provide actionable metrics and actionable alerts
    • Collaborate with key partners in your product area, including Designers, Product Managers, and TPMs. Ensure decisions are communicated effectively within and outside of your team with all stakeholders
    • Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of the engineers on your team. Enforce accountability through relevant, and objective performance targets and timely feedback and coaching
    • Uphold and build upon Highspot’s culture, ensuring that Engineering is a welcoming, inclusive place and that we not only meet our DE&I goals but lead Seattle’s tech industry with our commitment to diversity

Your Background

    • 8+ years working as a professional software developer
    • 4+ years working as an engineering manager
    • You’ve led multi-functional teams that have end-to-end ownership over a product line or set of features, including development, quality assurance, and ongoing operations.
    • You have shipped product features that leverage LLMs and/or other AI-enabled tools
    • You have experience designing, developing, and scaling cloud-native distributed systems across multiple cloud environments and regions
    • You have been responsible for systems with high uptime and availability requirements, and complex observability needs
    • You are interested in attracting and retaining engineering talent from diverse backgrounds
    • You are  a partner and collaborator who prioritizes the success of the team over individual aspirations
    • You have a track record of successfully balancing investments in innovation with continuous improvement to the customer experience
Base salary range: $196,000 - $265,000
Employees are eligible to receive stock options and may also receive other forms of compensation.

The above represents total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.
