Position Overview
The Autodesk Consulting team is seeking a talented and dynamic leader to manage a key consulting team in Japan. As an important member of the Management team within our Enterprise Customer Success organization, the successful candidate is a leader who is equally comfortable articulating the vision of success to our customers while energizing a team of highly skilled professionals who are helping to redefine their customer’s business. The Senior Manager, Consulting Services will have direct involvement in shaping how we deliver services as well as interface with other thought leaders within Autodesk and beyond. This position is based in Tokyo, Japan. As a global leader in design, engineering, construction, and entertainment software, Autodesk helps people imagine, design, and create a better world. Responsibilities
Directly manage a team of highly capable consultants working in the Japan market with while meeting key KPIs
Demonstrate excellence in strategic thinking, business process optimization, and engagement planning
Work collaboratively with other functions to drive bookings (sales function) and customer success (customer success management function)
Become a trusted business partner to customers as well as across Autodesk for professional services
Manage execution excellence – e.g. proactively manage engagement schedules and staffing plans, prepare, review, and manage deliverables to the customer, etc
Develop best in-class consultants through coaching and development/training plans based on current and anticipated demand in skills and individual’s career growth aspirations
Ensure that team members perform to the highest level of quality and professionalism
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated strong leadership, taking initiative and ability to drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues
Must have at least seven (7) years of hands-on experience in either the Manufacturing or AEC industries, with a clear understanding of the business processes in that industry3 years’ experience of managing a team
Proven ability to work with diversified technical, sales, and project management teams
Must have a working knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and how to operate under structured project management
Must possess good written and oral communication skills
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including international travel
Fluency in Japanese with an intermediate level of English required
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or similar related degree

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in growing a team in a changing environment
Exceptional ability in translating business challenges and goals into solutions
Strong knowledge engineering industry practices and processes, or of architecture, or construction
Advanced experience in either development or enabling BIM workflow process between architects, engineers, and contractors
Experience using MFG or AEC products such as BIM 360/ACC, Revit, Inventor or PLM systems
Master’s degree preferred
