Job Description

The Senior Medical Specialist, Hospital role aims to provide professional services to patients and clients through specialized visits and academic seminars. This position is crucial for conveying brand information, maintaining brand reputation, and ultimately achieving the company's overall business objectives. The specialist will foster strong relationships with hospital clients and ensure all activities align with company standards and market strategies.
Must have:
  • Conduct professional visits and academic seminars in target hospitals within the designated area, and meet company requirements.
  • Develop and optimize healthy working relationships with local hospital clients.
  • Actively participate in learning professional skills and knowledge, and meet company requirements.
  • Effectively apply skills and knowledge in daily academic promotion activities.
  • Timely understand and collect client disease diagnosis and treatment and brand usage information.
  • Submit various reports on time and truthfully as required.
  • Understand basic management procedures and drug management processes/usage in hospitals within jurisdiction.
  • Establish, improve, and timely update hospital files.
  • Actively participate in company business meetings and team building.
  • Share professional promotion experience, insights, and market information with the team.
  • Assist supervisor in achieving team goals.
  • Actively participate in SFA project implementation, accurately input relevant information as required.
  • Assist supervisor/manager in ensuring effective system operation and evaluation.
  • Assist supervisor/manager in ensuring academic seminar activities align with market development strategies.
  • Execute regional business plans formulated by supervisor/manager.
  • Formulate and continuously improve business plans for the designated area.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and PRC laws and regulations.
  • Comply with GlaxoSmithKline's global quality policy and guidelines.
  • Complete various tasks required by superiors.
  • Promote and sell all Haleon products within assigned jurisdiction or channels as arranged by the company.

Job Purpose

Through professional visits and academic seminars, provide professional services to patients and clients, convey brand information, maintain brand reputation, and achieve the company's overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct professional visits and academic seminars in target hospitals within the designated area, and meet company requirements.
  • Develop and optimize healthy working relationships with local hospital clients.
  • Actively participate in learning professional skills and knowledge, and meet company requirements. Effectively apply these skills and knowledge in daily academic promotion activities.
  • Timely understand and collect client disease diagnosis and treatment and brand usage information.
  • Submit various reports on time and truthfully as required.
  • Responsible for understanding the basic management procedures and drug management processes/usage in hospitals within the jurisdiction, establishing, improving, and timely updating hospital files.
  • Actively participate in various company business meetings and team building. Share professional promotion experience, insights, and market information with the team, and assist the supervisor in achieving team goals.
  • Through active participation in the implementation of the SFA project, timely and accurately input relevant information as required (visits, coverage, meetings, quality of client visits and medical information provided), assist the supervisor or manager in ensuring the effective operation of the system, and enable quantitative and qualitative inspection and evaluation.
  • Assist the supervisor/manager in ensuring that all undertaken academic seminar activities are closely linked to market development strategies.
  • Execute regional business plans formulated by the supervisor/manager, and formulate and continuously improve business plans for the designated area.
  • Ensure that all undertaken activities fully comply with company policies and quality standards, and comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and other relevant codes of conduct.
  • Comply with GlaxoSmithKline's global quality policy and global quality guidelines.
  • Complete various tasks required by superiors.
  • Employees of Haleon sales team and/or functions are obligated and responsible for promoting and selling all Haleon products (including those of the labor relationship employer and its affiliates) within their jurisdiction or channels (nutritional health, OTC drugs, oral health, and product categories that the company may expand and/or designate in the future) as arranged by the company.

  • Hospitals responsible for in this jurisdiction: target hospitals, including A-level, B-level, C-level.
  • Relevant functional departments: medical insurance related units, bidding office, health bureau, medical association, distributors.
  • Impact on strategy, policy or business:
  • Hospital clients responsible for within the jurisdiction.

Qualifications

  • Education (Degree/Major):

Bachelor's degree, preferably with a medical, pharmacy, or biology background.

  • Experience:

At least one year of work experience, preferably in the medical professional visit field.

  • Professional Knowledge/Skill:
  • Familiar with the company's products and competitive market conditions and relevant medical policies and regulations.
  • Master the working links and operational characteristics of hospital sales channels.
  • Understand knowledge of regional management, resource allocation, and customer management.
  • Computer & Language Skill:
  • Proficient in computer operation and use of common office software, including Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), Lotus Notes, etc.
  • Good English listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation skills.
