Who we are

At Fortis Games we aspire to make great games that bring people together while redefining how game companies work. We believe in building a sense of belonging through our games, their communities, and how we operate and treat each other. Through our game communities, we will create powerful connections and lasting memories. We will foster a culture of diversity, equity and belonging where together our diverse skills, experiences and backgrounds impact the games we make.

We are an early but mighty organization with a leadership team of game industry veterans. There are many opportunities for you to have a big impact on the products we'll be making as well as the overall direction of the company. If you're passionate about tackling difficult problems with direct and thoughtful communication and team first mentality, we may be the right place for you.

About the role

We are seeking a People Analyst to play a pivotal role in building and advancing our people analytics capabilities. This role will focus on establishing a strong data foundation, including designing and maintaining data infrastructure, designing reports and dashboards, cleaning and organizing datasets, and enabling accurate, timely reporting. You will partner closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, surface critical insights, and support data-driven decision-making that drives our people strategy forward. In addition to these strategic initiatives, you will provide day-to-day support for Workday technical operations, including configuring business processes, handling EIB uploads, creating and maintaining reports, troubleshooting issues as they arise, general system configuration and testing.

What you’ll achieve

  • Build and maintain core people analytics dashboards in Google Sheets and Looker, covering key metrics such as recruiting, organizational health, and other essential people data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to customize and update dashboards, ensuring they effectively support strategic, data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and compliance reporting to meet urgent business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Leverage analytics and systems to streamline and enhance the efficiency of people-related processes.
  • Own the employee engagement survey program end-to-end — from project management and question design to analysis, reporting, and supporting ad hoc survey development as the in-house survey expert.
  • Provide daily technical support for Workday operations, including configuring business processes, handling EIB uploads, generating reports, managing security settings, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Lead the bi-annual assessment and testing of Workday releases to proactively identify potential business impacts and improvement opportunities.
  • Manage data infrastructure and uphold data quality by applying data governance best practices, while using storytelling and data visualization to clearly communicate people insights to stakeholders.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Proficient in manipulating and analyzing data using Google Sheets and Excel; experience with Looker is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data.
  • Proven experience in building scalable dashboards and processes that adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Skilled in data analytics, data management, and storytelling techniques to deliver clear, actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity and in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities simultaneously.
  • Hands-on experience designing, managing, and analyzing employee surveys, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment with minimal supervision.
