Summary

As a Senior Software Development Engineer at Wizards of the Coast, you'll expand the development and delivery of digital gaming services powering their ecosystem. You'll lead large-scale service delivery to internal and external customers, updating and deploying services using best practices. Long-term planning, goal setting, and expertise in their service ecosystem are key. You'll also write high-quality documentation and integrate third-party account systems (Playstation, Steam, Xbox, Apple, Google). Experience with AWS, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS), observability (Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus), and infrastructure automation is essential.

What You'll Do:

  • Expand our ability to develop and deliver the digital gaming services that power the Wizards of the Coast ecosystem of digital products and tools.
  • Be a leader in large scale service delivery to an extended group of customers internal and external.
  • Update and deploy services and pipelines using industry best practices
  • Engage in long term planning to set goals and work for all customers of our ecosystem
  • Be an owner and expert in our service ecosystem
  • Write high quality documentation for customers, developers, and our team to increase understanding of our ecosystem.

 

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years of software development experience, including experience supporting delivery of services in support of game teams
  • Experience delivering highly available, scalable systems targeted at gaming services similar to Battle.net or EA Accounts.
  • Experience with AWS and understanding of the infrastructure for distributed applications
  • Experience with container orchestration, including but not limited to Docker, Kubernetes, EKS and ECS.
  • Experience with observability and debug ability for large scale systems using modern data ecosystems (Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus)
  • Experience with integration of third party account systems like Playstation, Steam, Xbox, Apple, and Google.
  • Experience with building infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code.

 

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $ 134,200
  • Pay Range End: $223,900
