Sr. Software Engineer, Engineering Enablement

About The Job

This is a unique opportunity to grow as an engineer. Working closely with product development teams, operations teams, and leadership, you'll design and build tools and infrastructure. This will empower engineers to develop and deliver fast, high-quality software, benefiting millions of PlayStation users. We seek individuals who can intuitively anticipate and tackle diverse technical challenges in developing software at scale. We are open to adoption of the latest tools and techniques for solving the complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high-quality software release.
  • Develop and maintain containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Design and build, on-boarding and support tools to accelerate build, testing, release, and deployment.
  • Conduct research on new technologies. Lead/contribute the effort of solving complex technical challenges to improve engineering productivity.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related area
  • At least 6+ years software development experience in Groovy, Golang, Java or similar major programming language
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
  • Strong understanding of CICD standard methodologies and familiar with tools used in CICD pipeline: such as Jenkins, Buildpack, GitHub, Artifactory, Maven, Gradle, and SonarQube

Preferred qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Groovy and Golang
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill
