Job Description

The Staff Engineer, SoC Performance Architect will be responsible for proposing SoC level architecture candidates for emerging memory-storage hybrid solutions and analyzing SoC architecture trade-offs with performance models. The role involves modeling, performance analysis, and architecture definition of emerging memory and storage solutions. The engineer will develop custom tools to analyze simulation results, propose architectural changes, establish relationships with various teams, present performance study results, and validate performance models. This position requires daily on-site presence at the Folsom, CA office.

Must have:

10+ years of experience in architecture development
Good knowledge in architecting complex SoCs
Understanding of DSP, MAC, and NPU

What You’ll Do

SoC Architect team proposes multiple SoC level architecture candidates for emerging memory-storage hybrid solution and analyzes SoC architecture trade-off with performance model.

Location: Daily onsite presence at our Folsom, CA office in alignment with our Flexible Work policy

Work on modeling, performance analysis, and architecture definition of emerging memory and storage solution.
Develop custom tools for analyzing simulation results of these complex architectures to provide new insights into their behavior and propose innovative architectural changes to improve the performance.
Establish strategic relationship with product planning, research, SoC designer, firmware development team to identify mass production level requirement.
Presenting performance study results to design teams and other architecture teams.
Validating the performance model against the specification and correlating the model with RTL

What You Bring

BE (MS or Ph.D preferred) in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 10+ years of working experiences in architecture development.
Good knowledge and experience in architecting complex SoCs.
Good understanding and experience in DSP, MAC, and NPU.
Self-motivated problem-solver with an ability to work well in a team.

Base Pay Range

$141,300 - $218,700 USD
